SAN CLEMENTE — Orange County local rock band The Whereabouts just released four music videos to coincide with the launch of their first ever studio album, Light Inside. The videos were filmed using a camera drone, high quality smartphones, and other various DIY level cameras.
San Clemente features five minutes of the subject city’s scenic coastline spliced with drone shots of the group playing at the end of the famous pier.
Fairy In The Wind is a slow bluesy song written by CJ as he witnessed his wife chopping firewood in the forest. The richly colored video is filled with vivid drone footage of the Santa Cruz Mountains transformed into a vibrant fairy wonderland.
A post-apocalyptic themed I Must Be Sick has the drone following the band clad in gas masks throughout the abandoned Lake Dolores Waterpark in San Bernardino.
The Whereabouts earned the nickname “Orange County’s most undefinable Rock band” with their unmatched diversity. While most bands choose to play music of a single genre, The Whereabouts have foregone labels to pursue many different styles of music. The new music videos reflect the band’s multifarious sound.
